2-12 Sit-Up Reset

In the last technique, you saw how you could use a two-on-one grip (which morphed into a seatbelt variation) to expose your opponent’s back. Using the rewind principle, we can use that same technique in reverse to transition out of back control when the situation suits us. You could rewind all the way to side control, or you could rewind just far enough to regain control of your opponent and reset your back control position. Again, Marcelo Garcia deserves the credit for my knowledge of this position, but learning it in conjunction with the Kimura to back control entry that we looked at previously helped me to make this slightly unusual movement feel more natural.
